I thought I'd make soap for Christmas presents one year and got completely obsessed by the subject. Always hating chemistry at school I suddenly became fascinated with the chemical reactions between lye and oils and the different saponification figures of various oils. I became fascinated with the range of products you can make and how superior they are to shop bought soaps. After using my soaps for 3 months I stopped using the moisturiser that I'd used for 35 years!
Next came bath treats. I've always enjoyed a nice long soak after a good run and love creating and testing different combinations of oils, butters, fragrances and botanics. I love the luxurious feeling of a slightly oily bath, find the colour of the the water and the scent in the bathroom gorgeous. And I love bathing with dried flowers - I know, it sounds weird but trust me, it's great.
I'm currently experimenting with bath salts and am quite excited about the range of colour and scents I have used. Shortly I hope to be adding liquid soaps and shampoos to my products.
